What I thought was most impressive about Fast and Furious 6 was the end of the film in particular which provides an inkling about the sequel with Jason Statham. As he warns Dominic Torreto (Vin Diesel), fans have already started speculating what his role would be. Talking about this one, the current crew members of the film who were present in the previous version also really impress - one and all. The one-liners by Vin Diesel and Dwayne Johnson (popularly known as The Rock) are simply superb.

The film begins with Torreto and his family - Brian O'Connor (Paul Walker) and Mia (Jordana Brewster) are having fun with earnings from the million dollar heist in the previous sequel. However, the peace is short lived as Hobbs (Dwayne Johnson) shows up and asks for their help against an ex-British agent turned criminal - Shaw (Luke Evans). In return he promises to wipe off their criminal records. In addition, Torreto can also win his lost love considered dead - Letty (Michelle Rodriguez) who is alive, suffering from amnesia and is in Shaw's company. This is a strong reason for Torreto to come back to do things what he is best at, along with his team.

The first encounter with Shaw is an eye-wash for Dom's team and they are on the back foot immediately against the bad guy. But the good thing is the audience does not have to wait for long before the film's USP comes knocking - fast cars and unimaginable action scenes. Dom's team sticks together and is always on the look to hunt down Shaw. There is a show-off between Dom and Letty but she doesn’t remember him and fires a bullet at him.

Dom however follows her and convinces her about his intentions before the climax dawns. Evans is captured by Torreto and Hobbs. However, he has other plans and gets Mia kidnapped. While he is about to flee in a jumbo aircraft, Dom's team in their fast cars arrive to stop him and they do that eventually. Torreto’s emergence from the burning aircraft is awesome.

Dom and Hobbs are superb in their respective fighting scenes. Being the producer of the film, Vin Diesel of course always will have more footage than Johnson but at the same time doesn't mind being a second fiddle in a few other scenes where Johnson takes the lead. And Johnson simply grabs those chances with both hands. 
Roman (Tyrese Gibson), Tej (Ludacris) and Han (Sung Kang) which were present in previous versions also are comical and really good. The climax suggests that this may be the last one for Sung Kang as it was the last for his girl friend Gisele (Gal Gadot) who gets killed. Luke Evans could have been an exceptional bad guy but he is just okay. 

I read somewhere that the makers of the film were considering making a 3-D film but I think they have done a good job without it. The effects are exceptional especially towards the end where a tank cuts loose on a Spanish highway. Overall it’s a good film and the fans would love it specifically because the film gives its fans what they want. And this definitely is not for the faint-hearted.

What exactly is Prithvi Shaw’s problem?

    By the time of your reading this one, Australia has won the first test match by 8 wickets. In my mind’s eye, I could see Virat Kohli packing his bags, preparing to leave for India for the birth of his first child.   I still believe the Indian captain is the only one capable in the current lot to take the team forward after a performance which was lacking in intent but sadly, he will not take any further part in the series leaving severe headaches for Rahane & company to deal with. What would I want to tell my daughter about Diego Maradona?
